2016 F1 qualifying format
Australian GP quallies were a joke. Not sure why they are trying to fix something that was working.

Having said that, I think it can work with a couple of tweaks. First, don't do the eliminations during Q3. Second, let flying laps count in Q1 & Q2.

Thoughts?

i liked the old way. the everybody runs for an hour no matter what style.

then i kinda liked the way they were doing it for the last few years.

i didn't get to see it this morning/last night.

apparently mcclaren still suck which i hate cos i like alonso.

williams aren't very fast yet which sucks cos i like bottas.

i'm also rooting for renault now that it is yellow. lol.

I get the sense that you wish we could post pics here. I don't know why.

Cool that there is finally an American constructor on the grid. Coulda put a little more thought into the livery though, or maybe even resurrect the AAR eagle scheme from the CART era.

I don't like F1 it bores the tits off me.
Each to their own though and if it makes people happy I'm happy.
Just saying.

I don't think we have tits in the States, but if watching F1 caused an exodus of my garden critters, I might feel differently too.

Romain Grosjean scored points in Haas' maiden race. Vive l'Amérique! Vive l'Amérique! Vive l'Amérique!

They still need to fix the qually format.

Fair point.

I never liked it after Button has that awful F1 accident.  Confused

RE: 2016 F1 qualifying format
Can you believe Grosjean finished 6th in Haas' debut? If Haas & McLaren bring respectable results and Williams takes a couple wins away from Mercedes, it will be a good year.

Now if Todt would please die from heat stroke from wearing a sweater in Bahrain so we can shítcan the new qually format, then it will be an even better year.

lol. i wish him no ill will but he is Rick Nielsen.

always looked confused when he was at ferrari.

love for williams to win one or two. Bottas, not massa, though. HAAS scoring points already is much more than i'd hoped/imagined.

RE: 2016 F1 qualifying format
Dang! Grosjean brings the Haas home in 5th! And Stoffel Vandoorne in his first time ever in an F1 car takes Fernando's car to a point-scoring finish. This is getting good.
