Hey There!

I haven't been on this board in ages and I have no concerts scheduled so far this year...I just thought I'd stop by and say "HELLO"!!   Smile

Well I finally went to my first show of the year & I already know I am going to surpass my number of shows from last year.  (Being that I only went to see CT being inducted, which made up for lack of shows).

I attended a very intimate, free show last night at The Rocks Lounge.  We ended up having a M &G with Billy Ray Cyrus.  He was really nice & cordial, they gave you a photo for him to sign, plus they took a photo of you with him, which was really nice.  He was celebrating 25 of his Achy Breaky Heart hit.  It was an acoustic show & I was very surprised  how much I enjoyed it.  He does have a great voice regardless of what you think of his old mullet or his daughter.  LOL  He sang his hits, had a question & answer period & even did some Elvis & Led Zeppelin.  After the show he greeted us again with a hand shake & gave us a chance to thank him for being included in such a very intimate show.

Next month is really more my speed.   I have Rockabilly Riot with Brian Setzer.  I've seen him numerous times with the Stray Cats & with his Orchestra.  Love him!!  Have a VIP table reserved at the HOB.  Can't wait!

May - Billy Ray Cyrus
June - Brian Setzer

That's it so far....Hopefully there will be more down the road.  Hope you all enjoy your upcoming summer shows!   Heart

RE: Concerts - 2017
Allie, since you've moved to Vegas I expect you will be seeing lots of cool shows like this one! As a music lover, it must be so exciting to have so many opportunities to see a variety of artists, right in your own back yard.
This summer I am so lucky. I will be seeing Cheap Trick at Darien Lake, and my beloved Who earlier the same week in Canandaigua. Then in August I will be going to see Dwight Yoakam for the first time at Artpark in Lewiston, N.Y. And I managed to get 4 th row seats for that one... Between my phone and Amazon Fire on a 15 minute break from work. All those harried experiences from buying Cheap Trick tickets made me look like a real mulititasker!
Also heading to Jim Thorpe PA.in November for CT!
I am still hoping for a flying trip for a 2 nighter for Cheap Trick somewhere out west. Hopefully Vegas or California. We shall see.....
If I never loved, I never would have cried.

Hello again all!
Joe Walsh and Tom Petty this weekend, B-52's next month, and just scored King Crimson tickets end of June. Would have killed to see Simple Minds doing an acoustic gig.

RE: Concerts - 2017
This year, the only shows I have tickets booked for are:
Justin Currie of Del Amitri (May, Liverpool)
Ian Hunter and The Rant Band (June, Liverpool)
Cheap Trick (June, Manchester)
... and I will be booking for Justin Currie in Manchester in October.

My own band, The Three are quite busy with 114 shows booked this year - http://www.TheThree.org.uk
