RE: Blondie // Cheap Trick - Who opens for whom, age before beauty?
I see Blondie's site has it listed as Blondie with Cheap Trick.
I guess age before beauty, perhaps.
Yet, which is which?

To me it really doesn't matter. Does it really matter?? You should be use to it now, that CT usually opens. As long as this tour comes to my neck of the woods. I will be in heaven!! Again I don't care which band opens I'll be staying for both & loving it!!!

As most of you know, I love both bands & have seen Blondie 5 times & they are always in my top 5 bands of all time.

They put on an excellent show. Last time I saw them was in June 08 & I was in the first row center & caught Debbie's shoe when she threw it out into the audience, it was the funniest thing ever & well having a moment with her as she spoke to me from the stage was awesome.

Clem Burke is also a fan of CT, years ago I ran into him upstairs in the Foundation Room after a CT show in Hollywood. He also kicks major ass on the drums.

I just hope they announce the rest of this portion of the tour soon. icon_thumright.gif icon_thumleft.gif

Even if Blondie is closing the show, couldn't they still play a full set? Maybe it's some kind of co-headlining thing, where they rotate who goes on first or second, and they each get a full set? I think that's what Styx and Foreigner are doing this year.

I don't care who goes first, just as long as it isn't used as an excuse to play for less than 1.5 hours.

Hmm, sounds like the show I saw a few years back with Alice Cooper. CT played from about 7:45Pm until 8:30 while Cooper got the full 90 minutes as the "headliner." But Cooper and CT did the final encore together("My Generation" and "Helter SKelter," if I recall). So wouldn't be surprised if it is more Blondie than CT with CT coming back at the end.

Hey didn't mean to get anyone's feathers ruffled all because I said it doesn't matter, you all know I love CT. Personally, I rather see them play with Blondie than Def Leppard, (but I still went).

Just me if you don't want to see the tour, then don't go, they are also doing a number of shows with Squeeze. If you don't like them either, don't go.

I don't keep track of record sales for CT or any other group, but I do know Blondie did sell out the shows I attended.
