Sitting in my glove compartment:
1) Rockford
2) Queen greatest hits
3) Rush Presto(I know, not one of their best)
4) Snow Patrol's latest
5) Steve Earle's greatest hits

Aside to New Shooze-"Dixie Chicken" had it's place in there until just recently. Guess, I need to get an actual CD holder now to keep everything handy. Big Grin

Actually, I just started listening to them last year. While I love all of their stuff I've heard so far I enjoy their post Lowell George music a little more, much to the chagrin of long time LF fans Smile

Maureen, you rule! DaJo is one talented guy... and he's gorgeous too! I've been listening to Dust this week obsessively... the difference in the Dust song arrangements vs. Brother Cane arrangements really impresses me!

The rest of my list would be...

Eyes of Alice Cooper
Rockford
The Kink Kronikles
Live At Fillmore East - Neil Young and Crazy Horse
"We think we understand a song's lyrics, but what makes us believe in them, or not, is the music." The Angel's Game, Carlos Ruiz Zafon

New Shooz,
Quote:post Lowell George music a little more, much to the chagrin of long time LF fans

Doesn't surprise me that there are Lowell-less Feat fans out there. I got to see them in concert twice during his years with them but they were bittersweet shows. The first time, at a small college(in support of "Feats Don't Fail Me," I think), he was so out of it he forgot, at least twice, which song they were in the middle of. Bill Payne, keyboards, had to sing over him to bring him back to reality. The claim was he was suffering from the flu. The show just never delivered any energy. Well, wouldn't you know that I got to see them about three years later in a small venue in Santa Barbara California, the Arlington. My buddy and I saw Lowell, Bill Payne and Kenny Gradney sitting outside the back of the theatre prior to the show so we went over to say hi. Lowell was coughing up a storm. I told him I hope he wasn't suffering from the flu again and he said "sorry, I think I've got the same thing again." Again, the show was saved by the musicianship of the others more than the singing of George. At the time I never knew of his drug problems but shortly after the success of the live LP, the word got out that the last couple of years, the band was pretty much operating without him. Guess I kind of soured on them after those shows and never gave the post-George music a chance.

Oh yeah, another Dada fan, been into them for quite awhile. Enjoy them live, you won't be dissapointed. Saw 'em for the 5th time last Feb in Philly and got the Disclive copy of the show as well. If you'd like I can forward you a copy, good version of 72 Hours on there.

Only one album I'm listening to at the moment:

Scissor Sisters - Ta Dah.

Saw them live on Friday night here in Melbourne - as good as any rock show I've ever seen, with loads of dancing and fun thrown in.

Regards,
Mel
