OMG. LMFAO.

Robin slightly edges Freddie, IMHO.

Meatloaf won a Grammy, sang on Broadway and Variety said his vocal perf is larger than life.

His voice is shot now but, he had power, a gorgeous tone and insane range.  At one audition he hit some high notes that blew out equipment ... He got 3 record label deals, lol.

Sorry...I should have said that neither is a great ROCK vocalist.  Pavarotti is great vocalist too but I don't consider him a great rock vocalist either.

This may be blasphemy, but I was never a big fan of Freddie Mercury.  He was too operatic for me.  Same for Steve Perry.  He's got a technically strong voice, but I can't stand anything he sings.

Agree 1,000% with you about both. Hate both singers and both bands.

I like Brian May though. He, Lemmy & Stewart Copeland should start a band.

I can understand that. There is a subjective element to music. Some rock singers may get too pretty for some. I think Bono and Meatloaf are great rock singers. Meatloaf is one of my top favs. He could do gritty and sound gorgeous. He was very dramatic though, for some it might have been cheesy, lol. It worked for me. Totally agree with you on Bowie, he's awesome.

I like your honesty and dicernment. Some musicians have my respect but, I can't get into their music. They have skills but, the music does not move me and I don't remember it.
