Yacht Rock/West Coast AOR was the "Yuppie" music of choice between 75-84. Who was your guilty pleasure ?

Other. I'd rather swallow the muzzle and pull the trigger.

RE: Yacht Rock / West Coast AOR
A touch harsh...
They could probably make a half decent compilation CD between them.
DB: Listen to the music, long train runnin'..
Toto: Rosanna, Africa, Hold the line..
SD: Reelin' in the years, Do it again, Rikki don't lose that number..
Plyr: Baby come back..
H&O: Kiss on my list, Rich girl, Private eyes..
BS: Lido shuffle..
CC: Ride like the wind, Sailing..
RH: Escape.. OK, now we're pushing it!
Nothing essential but pleasant enough.

There are a lot of great Steely Dan songs:
FM, Black Friday, Deacon Blues, Hey Nineteen, Do It Again, Dirty Work, Peg, Haitian Divorce, Dr Wu, Rikki Don't Lose That Number, Reeling In The Years, Kid Charlemagne, My Old School, Bad Sneakers, Josie, Black Cow, Your Gold Teeth, Showbiz Kids, With A Gun, Any Major Dude Will Tell You, Time Out Of Mind. They were just in Detroit and I missed them, but not a show you should miss.

The Yacht Rock series is some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen,
spoofing this 'brand' of music!

Not a big fan of this genre but give my nod to Steely Dan as they're pretty fine musicians.
